District Administrator/Program Assistant

The Emmons County Soil Conservation District (SCD) is hiring a full-time District Administrator/Program Assistant. This position is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the SCD. Applicant must have experience with Quick-Books and accounting principles. Job requires all programs, administrative procedures and forms are following local, state and federal requirements. Will also assist in planning, attending and facilitating producer meetings and various partnership activities in Emmons County.  Qualified candidate must pass a state and federal background check along with fingerprinting. The administration and development of grants is helpful with this position.  Individual must be able to perform and assist in outside field work requirements as needed along with producer field visits. Seasonal Tree Planters
The Emmons County Soil Conservation District (SCD) is looking for individuals to help with this year’s tree planting season. Duties include tree planting, fabric application and field assistance. Tree planting and fabric application is done with agricultural equipment. Estimated work frame would start around the third week of April and conclude until season is complete in June. Director of Tax Equalization

Emmons County is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Tax Equalization.  This position is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and is responsible for carrying out the duties as outlined in the North Dakota Century Code in Chapter 11-10.  Those duties include assessment of land and buildings to determine correct valuations, building permits, zoning codes and sales ratio information.  Starting salary is $3,000 - $3,500 per month.  Salary will increase as Assessors certifications are completed.

Veteran's Service Officer

Emmons County is hiring a part-time Veteran’s Service Officer.  The position is appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and is responsible for assisting veterans and their family members in obtaining benefits for which they are entitled from the Veterans Administration and other agencies.  Starting annual salary is $16,000 - $18,000 for 20 hours a week.
